The Sixth Annual CADDYs Clambake and Golf Tournament at Traditions and The Links at Erie Village will be Wednesday, September 20, 2006! Please note this date has been changed from our last announcement. The golf tournament/clambake was previously scheduled for September 21. News Coca-Cola Selected as 2007 AAF National Student Advertising Competition Sponsor The American Advertising Federation (AAF) announced that the Coca-Cola Company, the iconic American beverage company, will sponsor the 2007 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC).
ADDY® Best of Show Goes to McCann- Erickson/72 and Sunny The American Advertising Federation (AAF) has announced the coveted ADDY® Awards Best of Show winner, along with the Gold and Silver ADDY honorees. The winners were presented at the ADDY Awards Gala in San Francisco, Calif., in conjunction with the AAF National Conference 2006. Annual Meeting Review Thanks to Syracuse.com and AMS Models for sponsoring the Syracuse Ad Club’s Annual Meeting, June 1, at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. Attendees enjoyed a barbecue and a private look at the indoor portion of the zoo – especially the baboons. Board Members Wanted The Syracuse Ad Club has openings for two board members. The board meets on the second Thursday of every month from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at WTVH – Channel 5. In addition to monthly meetings, board members are expected to attend the majority of Ad Club functions and actively participate on at least one committee. Board members serve a three-year term, with the option to re-new for a second term. You must be a paid member of the Ad Club in order to apply. Julianna Ucchino, a business student at BU, is looking for a part-time summer position. She is attending a class at OCC, working weekends for the summer and will be returning to BU in the fall. She has worked as a receptionist and also a soccer coach and likes to be very busy. She feels she could be more productive during the week and hopes one of her mom's fellow Ad Club members may be able to use some extra help on weekdays during the summer break.
