June 2009 Issue A Message From the President Did You Know... Dear Ad Club Member,
I've got a question: How much do you know about the Syracuse Ad Club? You might know we were founded over 30 years ago, or, that we've got hundreds of active members. But there's more to the story...In this month's Ad Libs, I'd like to share some facts about being an Ad Club member.
Did you know you get discounted admission to all Ad Club events as a member? From the annual Fall TV Preview to the Media Auction, your membership literally pays off.
Did you know many of our events are FREE? Yes, our networking nights are always free of charge and many other events are cost-free as well. Did you know that people are actually making great contacts at our events? All you have to do is show up and bring plenty of business cards because the events are growing.
Did you know by being a Syracuse Ad Club member you're automatically an AAF (American Advertising Federation) member? AAF members benefit from great discounts on everything from car rentals to insurance and awesome publications like Ad Age.
I don’t know of too many people who haven't been hit by the economic downturn, some lost jobs and others lost pay but did you know that even in this lackluster economy, many Ad Club members are actually hiring? And you, as an Ad Club member, can find out first about job openings. Or, feel free to contact us if you're looking for work; we'd be happy to try and help point you in the right direction!
